Foot Care Professionals is here to help meet our community need for foot care.
My experience is people feel better when their feet feel better. Between our backs, our hips, thick curly toenails, painful callus, vision changes, neurologic issues such as Parkinson's disease and dementia, and hand dexterity, we all need help with our feet at some point. Medical resources are limited by reimbursement and inadequate staffing. I started Foot Care Professionals in December 2021 in response to an ever-increasing wait list for access to care and ever-diminishing insurance coverage for routine foot care. This is an open-access foot care clinic that provides toenail trimming and debridement, callus removal, Swift microwave therapy for plantar warts, and guidelines on how to live well with your feet. No referral is required, no insurance requirements- just high quality, individualized care with YOU as the focus.
My RN experience includes inpatient internal medicine for 15 months followed by 6.5 years working inpatient transplant (liver, kidney, pancreas transplant). I worked as a nurse practitioner in surgical and medical gastrointestinal cancer prevention and treatment for 14 years, then 4 years in Podiatry, caring for our local community patients.
My foot care training includes experience with the podiatrist and nurse practitioner colleagues in Rochester, hands-on training workshop in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, medical podiatry video training though Rainier Med, and ongoing continuing medical education for both foot care and general medical care to maintain my nurse practitioner licensure.
I find helping people with their feet rewarding because it prevents pain, ulceration, infection, and empowers people to maximize their mobility. I strive to provide personal, professional care for my patients. I developed Foot Care Professionals to help you, with an eye toward improving mobility and education for people in our community. I look forward to helping you soon!
